Tatum got me hooked on oatmeal cookies during college (not good for the Fresh 15!); this recipe is great because it is a cross between oatmeal and your good ol' regular chocolate chip cookie.
Ingredients:
1 C. Butter
1 C. White Sugar
1 C. Brown Sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 C. Flour
1 tsp. Soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 C. Oatmeal, ground in a blender
4 oz. grated Hershey bar
1 1/2 C. chocolate chips
1 C. nuts (opt.)
Directions:
Cream together butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Stir in chocolate chips, grated chocolate (optional) and nuts. Roll into balls. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
